Oh my god. This is going to be a long summer. I would like to state, for the record, that I did not hire this person. No no no. I will just have to babysit her. How does a rising senior who majors in media and comm have her MOTHER write her papers? And why on earth would you admit that to your internship supervisors???
She also said "sporastically" instead of sporadically.
Apparently, she excels in design. Which is good, we need that. But I'm not a designer; most of my projects revolve around writing. So I asked her how she felt about writing. She said, "I don't mind it. My mom's a writer, so she writes me papers for me."
I stared. And then I blinked, and crossed out about half of my list of potential projects for her and told her I'd need to get back to her about what she'd be working on first.
I think the most my mom did for me would point out areas that I should use a different word, not telling me what to use, but discuss it with me so that I could figure it out and one time she typed up a paper for me when I was in middle school.

I have helped DD type up a paper she wrote (exactly as she wrote it and then made her go fix her grammar and punctuation) when she literally had 5 huge projects due last week week and 4 quizzes and 2 tests. But I would laugh at her if she ever thought for a minute I would actually write her papers for her.
