I have a hair appointment this Saturday. I am lazy and don't forsee myself using the blow dryer all summer. We don't have central air. Drying my hair sounds miserable. I'd also like to lose a little length for summer. fuckyourcouch inspired me with her bob.

It's cute but I prefer a layer bob vs. the longer in the front kind. It's bordering on a reverse mullet for me. I know it's very fashionable right now and I'm not generally ever in fashion.

i like it...almost. hate that it is shorter in the back. it screams 'mall hair' to me. lol. but if the back is as beachy as the front, then i am all.over.it. LOVE the front and sides.
I plan to buy stock in sea salt spray this summer. Beachy is exactly what I'll be going for. I love the front and sides, too. The back scares me a little, but I'm pretty sure if I told my stylist to go longer with the layers in the back, it'd be less mall-y. Right??
I'm also contemplating some version of the color. Eek!
My hair is pretty naturally wavy, so I'm pretty confident that I could get it more than decent without heat styling. I'm good with a curling iron in case I ever needed to touch up areas or have it look more dressed up.
But will your hair dry like that? That style looks blow-dried and curled.
Yeah, it actually looks high maintenance to me too. I have naturally wavy hair and would still have to style a cut like that, especially in the front. Although I guess a curling iron might do the trick, provided I had enough time to let it air-dry first.

mine is longer all around and the back isn't as different in length from the front and i usually part it in the middle, but other than all of those differences i just got the exact same haircut and I LOVE IT. it looks purposefully messy when i don't bother fixing it, and when i do decide to blowdry it takes about half the time it did before.

Yes, I love it! I hear you on the hating to blow dry in the summer thing. I don't know what I am going to do this summer. This is my first one in a house without A/C in a long time. I was just thinking today about what torture blow drying is in a hot house.

And you're happy with how yours air dries?
I swear, I haven't blown my hair out since March. Wait, that's a lie. I did once, and it looked funny to me. I've totally embraced my messy waves.

most of the time, yes. my hair is mostly straight and a little wavy; i think it it were naturally wavier it would look even better. the only problem i get sometimes is that the bottom layers closest to my neck flip out when air drying, but that's more due to my length than anything else.
