Uggggggh. I was so upset when this happened.
DS wakes up at about 8:30 and goes down for a nap around 2, earlier if he's being pissy, and sleeps for about two hours. He's been going down later and later, his nap used to start around noon when he first dropped his morning nap.

Ellie dropped the second nap at 18 months-she dropped ALL naps (except for the rare days she just kind of passes out in the middle of the day) a few months ago (she'll be 3 next month).

Ughhhhhhh.
Nooooo, you poor Mama.
YES! And poor Dada-he used to nap when she napped (when he was watching her while I worked).
She is just too damn BUSY these days. It's insane how busy she keeps herself.

The transition from two naps to just one is pretty rough at first. I kind of liked it after a while, though. It was easier to plan outings when we didn't have to take two chunks of time out of the day. Of course, it was sometimes maddening when I really wanted a break.
Dropping naps altogether was rough but now the kiddo sleeps from 8-8/8:30. Hell yes. It is the best thing ever. I kind of hate it when he falls asleep in the car, or when he obviously needs a nap these days because I know he'll be up until 9 o'clock. Unacceptable.

That's the only bright side-she DOES sleep the night through-anywhere from 8-830 until between 7-8 in the morning. Not that she always stays in her OWN bed all the time, but hey, she's getting enough sleep.
ETA: It is AWESOME being able to go out and about without having to time it around naps.

Ugh, yea 9pm would also kill me. Lol. She goes to bed at 7 right now. But she wakes so damn early. Doesn't matter when she goes to bed. 8-8 would be awesome!
I dealt with a shitty sleeper for the first 2.5 years of his life, so now I feel like I'm about to lose my mind if he's up after 8 o'clock, or if he wakes after going down for the night. No sir, this is not your awake time. I feel like a bedtime parole officer. He is not allowed to leave his room between the hours of 8 pm and 8 am.
Dd gets up by 6 most days and I put her down for a nap between 1130 and noon.
Sounds like when I should be shooting for. When is her bedtime, EB?
She is in bed by 7 and usually falls asleep sometime between 730-8.
Dropping to one nap wasn't all that bad. I'm lucky, she still takes 2.5-3 hour naps. Yesterday she took a 4 hour nap. It's also nice having that time in the morning for errands.

Holy shit! 4 hour nap? Jackpot, man! G has never napped more than 2 hours, but if she consistently did 2 hours, I'd be okay with that.
Lol it's awesome. She started taking a long nap when she dropped the first one. Hopefully that will be the same for your kid.
Mine dropped the morning nap right around a year. I moved the afternoon nap up to make up for it - now (19 mos) he's up around 7, naps 12-2, bed around 8:30.
My 4 year old no longer naps at all. I still make him do 1.5 hours of quiet time in his room, but sleep ain't happening. He now sleeps 8:30pm to 8:30am.
