I bought ingredients for "fresh margaritas" this weekend. I found a recipe online that called for 2 oz of white or silver tequila (I bought Hornitos because I experienced major sticker shock when I saw the prices for Don Julio and Patron!!!!!), fresh orange juice (in lieu of Cointreau), fresh lime juice and agave nectar. OMG...yum. I had quite a few last weekend during our garage sale...lol!
Anyways...we still have a crap ton of tequila left over and no lime juice. So tonight I put some tequila, fresh OJ, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, lemon juice and agave in the shaker with some ice and and am having the. most. delightful cocktail. EVER. My only thing is I don't love the agave, so I'm wondering what would be another good mixer to keep things sort of low cal/low sugar?
Planning a 3 mile double stroller run tomorrow to work this off
