Ok, I want to slowly start buying new furniture

For my place. Most of the stuff I had was STBXH before we met, and while it is fine, it is not 100% my taste and I really want to make my house my own now. Plus I want a new mattress lol

So if you were to start room by room, what would you do first? Bedroom, living room or office?

I don't have a real bedroom set, and the couches in the living room were given to me by my boss. They are in great shape, but again, not my taste. TV stand is fug.

So ML, what say you?

DH and I started with what we would use the most and worked from there up. Since it was just us, a good TV and couch started us off.

I would start with the living room. That is the first thing people see. I would want to show off my new place.

If it's just you and the animals, I'd probably get a queen but a really great quality mattress instead of going for size.  Well, it really depends on how big your room is, too.

My mattress is incredible.  I really love sleeping on it.

Room is huge and easily would accommodate a king. But I kind of feel wasteful spending extra money on one. Maybe I will go lay on some this weekend. Ha.

I would start with the mattress and then do the rest of the bedroom. I know people often say to start with the more visible rooms and we did that, but that just means we have had an ugly bedroom for years. I think would be so nice to have a bedroom that's a real retreat for you and is decorated for your tastes.
