What are your thoughts on blue/gray houses?

Sorry, wrong board, but i'd love to hear your thoughts too.

We are painting our house this weekend, and we were thinking about a grayish blue. I am surprised how many people have strong opinions on this for a house color--everything from "that color would lower your property value" to "it makes a house look cold and unwelcoming" to just plain depressing.

Do you have any strong opinions about this color? Fwiw, the color on the left is the current all over color and the color on the right is the color we were thinking.

I like it, but I also know some people who are not fans of grey. Like my husband, who vetoed gray paint in our house.

Okay, not my house, just that it's blue. We're changing to gray this summer.

Love it, but we just built a grey and blue house with red accents, so I may be biased

We are hoping to go with a dark bluish-gray when we put new siding on our house this summer. I've thought of jazzing it up with a fun-colored door, like a red, maybe. We're still in the planning stages.
