So, my FI and I bought a Wii U last November and I realized that there hasn't been a decent game library. The primary problem is that I have a ps3, and games that come out for both, I would just get for the ps3. I normally wait at least a year to buy a new console, but FIGURES the only time we buy a console out of the gate, it's one with a limited library Now that the PS4 is coming out relatively soon, I'm not sure if I should buy it when it comes out.
I have to say though, some of the games on Nintendo land are hilarious to play with a bunch of people while you are drunk. Any thoughts?
The Wii U library is unfortunately limited, and I doubt it will get better anytime soon. It's definitely self-defeating because people hear there's a limited library so they don't buy it, and not enough people buying the Wii U leads to developers being reluctant to create games for it.
I do enjoy the Wii U, I think it has some cool features. I like sharing drawings and thoughts in the communities, which I wasn't expecting to participate in.
I will absolutely get the Xbox One as soon as it launches though!

Currently we have Nintendoland, New Super Mario Bros. and Scribblenauts. I mean, Mario was pretty much standard fare with the tablet providing some interesting gameplay. The real surprise I had was Nintendoland. I thought it was going to suck and a lot of the reviewing websites and magazines didn't like it either. I think the minigames are hilarious.
The single most cool feature of the Wii U for me, is that my FI can play a game on the tablet while I'm watching TV or playing something on the PS3. I think the hardware is pretty cool, but there just needs to be more games. Also, Pikmin 3 got delayed again, which is a bummer.
I think I will get sucked into the Wii U money pit come august with Pikmin 3 coming out. I am so overly excited for it, but I doubt any other die hard fans will buy the Wii U. I won't even buy it until I have a copy of Pikmin 3 in my hands because of the continuous delay. They did a bad job this season and they know it. I don't think that Nintendo cares though because they already have got people hooked with their 3DS titles, they are willing to wait. I believe I said the same thing about the 3DS when it came out with the Wii being their stronghold.
It's really strange what Nintendo is doing with their PR these days. My favorite is the hour and a half speak they are doing the night of E3 but they refused to participate in E3.

Yeah, I was really perplexed why Nintendo would choose to opt out of E3, since they could use some good PR right about now. You have a good point about the 3DS, I was a little wary at first. But the library is pretty awesome now with luigi's mansion, fire emblem, etc. Who knows where the Wii U will be in the next year. I can't say the PS3 had a stellar launch either at $600 for the system >.<
