I know I whined about my blisters once this week. I'm sorry. I have tried nearly everything that you all suggested and my little toe is still all messed up. I think I'm going to have to skip my long run this weekend and I'm bummed out. For a blister? Seriously? It is bad though. My whole left leg feels jacked up from walking funny because of the blisters. I definitely won't be doing myself any favors by running.
Have you tried soaking in epsom salts yet? Sometimes that will dry it out. I had one I covered in Neosporin and used the Sports Band-Aids on it. The Neosporin kept it moist so it didn't bother me. I hate blisters.
I'm sorry; Boo. I didn't follow your original thread, but are you having pain & swelling bad enough that you may have an infection? I'd say watch out for that, and take an extra rest day from running. I'm certain you've got other things to fill your weekend and I find that sometimes a break from a long run for a week is good medicine in more ways than one. I still know it's a bummer though. Hope it gets better quick!
Have you tried the Moleskin? I have a popped blister from some dress shoes I wore to work this week. That stuff is a foot saver.
Yeah. I can get it padded enough to walk around my office and get through the work day reasonably comfortably, but not well enough to run a few miles, let alone do a long run. :-(

Yes. I did a few Epsom soaks, but that hasn't produced any phenomenal results yet. I have those special toe blister band aids, they help some, like moleskin does, but not enough.

That sucks!!! I hope you find a way to get your long run in!
I can empathize. I had to skip a ski weekend this winter because of too-bad blisters formed when wearing new ski boots the day before. It sucked. I hope yours heal up soon!
(And yes, as sad as it feels I do agree it's better to miss a day due to blisters than to hurt yourself by striding wrong on a long run and have to skip another month to heal.)
I've had to learn how to relax lately since I'm gimpy again so I like to remind other runners that it *is* an option. . Hope you feel better soon. Relaxing isn't as much fun as running.
