I was coming off the trail and turning left, which is kind of a weird combo of downhill onto a bridge and the uphill as you are turning left to go over the bridge (Kams and coconutbug will know where this is, diversion channel trail and Indian School).
I must have been going a little fast into the turn and a little wide, and wasn't able to correct in time and my front tire hit the foot-high curb on the side of the bridge. I went over hard, but I fell away from traffic thank god.
Palm and outside of my knee are bruised, as is my pride, but fortunately I was wearing padded gloves (which I just got yesterday!) and capris so my skin didn't contact the concrete and I didn't get scraped up.
On the bright side, I used my new Chamois Butt'r and my crotch feels magnificent.
I'm actually kind of glad to get it over with. It was scary, but now I know that it isn't THAT bad to wipe out hard and I will be less scared of it in the future.
Yikes to falling on Tramway! At least today is a holiday and it wasn't too busy. Busy enough for at least 2 passing cars to see me fall, but not too bad.

I'm glad you're ok!
I'm in the process of getting reacquainted with bike riding, and I am irrationally scared of a fall. I'm not going fast enough to cause real harm to myself if I fall, but I still get super anxious.

Same here, which is why I'm kind of glad that it happened and the world didn't end.
I'm starting to think I hit my hip though, because there is a teeeeeeeny little purple spot right on my hip that hurts like crazy. Probably will be a big ol' bruise in a day or so.
