I'm not super-familiar with that part of ATL, but I think there are some good trails along the Chatahoochee River, which should be pretty close to that area.

the trailhead is right off of Akers Mill, anyone in the area can help you find it. There's also a not as long or as well used (at least it wasn't when I lived there ages ago) trailhead off of Indian Trail which is off of Northside Drive - www.georgiatrails.com/gt/East_Palisades

Found one and OMG that was not anything like flat! Gorgeous though. Good training for the 2 bridge runs I have during the next 2.5 weeks. Too bad my ankle is a bit bum. And it's so weird that the sun was still up past 9pm.
A little late to the party, but the Silver Comet trail is flat. There is an entrance Cumberland Parkway at Cooper Lake Rd that would be easy to get to if you have access to a car.
I on my phone and cannot copy the link. The paved Bob Callan trail is at Cumberland and is really popular. Sope Creek at the Cochrans Shoals National Park by the Hooch is also popular.

Wow. Small world. MrBAMF was there yesterday and Monday. Here's another trail head. Parking can be a nightmare if its nice out. Right now = hot, so its a toss-up.
