I'm a special family flake. I'm closer to my family, he's closer to his. His is 30 minutes away, mine is 90. With our weird schedules, he takes J to his when I work, and I take J to mine when I'm off. I feel more comfortable with my family watching him, because my family still has lots of little ones. His mom is in her late 80's, so that's a no go, and even though his sisters have a standing offer to watch J, anytime we ask, they decline. My family will drop everything to take J. I hope my son doesn't ditch me when he marries. I am going to try so hard not to be the crazy MIL so they want to hang out with me!!

Mine. I'm not a big fan of my FIL and he has only seen Christian a handful of times. They live just 15 minutes away. MIL comes over every weekend for an hour or so but before Christian was born we didn't seen them often.
Mine, for sure! IL's live 1/4 of a mile down the road from us, my parents live 28 miles from us. My parents see us at least weekly. IL's drive by our house every day, twice a day, and I couldn't tell you the last time they stepped foot in my house. FIL is frequently in our barn, but that's a story for another day.

Mine, definitely, but only because of distance. My parents are over, or we go visit them, several times a week. We see my MIL a couple-few times a year, more since Zoe was born, and we see the rest of my ILs maybe once a year. I genuinely enjoy spending time with my ILs, but they're a plane ride away, instead of the 20 minutes by car that my parents are.
His, but I think more so because they are both retired and come out here to visit/help more. Both of my parents still work, so even though they're only 20 minutes away (inlaws are 45) I don't see them much- still maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks at the longest though.
