I read your post about your piriformis pain. I have the same problem with a half on Saturday that I am doing regardless. How did you find relief? How was your half? I had a myofacial release massage.. Am thinking of getting another one to work just the piriformis.
Butting in. But I find foam rolling, topped with rolling around on a tennis or baseball, stretching, ice, heat and aleve definitely work. Foam and ball rolling is helpful after every run.
I have been foam rolling constantly.. And sitting on one of those porcupine massage balls. Do you think flexeril would help at all? I have a script for if my foot Cts up, but having filled it.
Yes, my PT has given me exercises to do... Been doing them and seeing him religiously. We thought it was just bursitis in the hip, but got a cortisone shot for that and on e that pain went away I realized it was radiating from a knot in my lower back and in my butt.

I did all of this, plus:
Lots of stretching, including pigeon pose (google if you don't do yoga) and assorted IT band stretches that I found online
Forced my H to massage me using some techniques I found on YouTube
