I'm looking for a recipe for a black bean burger that I can cook on the grill. also, any tips that you might have for making black bean burgers on the grill. I feel like the end product would be too sticky to put on a charcoal grill. I usually get the morningstar farms black bean burgers but I have a brand spankin new food processor so I thought I try my hand at DIY black bean burgers.

I made these recently and followed the recipe except swapped a 1 C. of panko for the torn hamburger bun (as recommended by a reviewer). They held together incredibly well and we had no problem cooking them on the grill. Although next time I'd add a tad more moisture to the mix or cook them for a shorter time because they were kind of dry (but tasty). Just make sure to oil the grill grate well and you shouldn't have a problem with them sticking. www.myrecipes.com/recipe/our-homemade-quick-black-bean-burger-10000001932647/
This one was just featured in Bon Appetit Magazine from the Rosewood Grill in Hudson, OH. I haven't tried it yet but bookmarked it for the next time we grill out. It looks fantastic.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
I can't find the link right now, but there were several on Oh She Glows that I want to try. She did some serious experimenting with black bean burgers!
