I need a new suit for the lake this weekend. Really just something to lounge around in, lots of floating in the lake.
However, I DESPISE bathing suit shopping, especially since I am 20lbs heavier than last summer. I dropped by my regular places yesterday (TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack-no suits, and Target) I found nothing.
I just want to find something that looks decent on me while I loose the weight. Oh and something that supports the TATAs. I feel like everything I tried on was fitted for 13 yo girls in the chest.
The Venus catalog has some great choices, lots of mix and match bottoms. Some of it is very cheesy and cougar-ish(see the 4th of July bikini featured on the website), but if you wade through the bad, there is a lot of cute stuff:
I surprisingly had the best luck at JCP with the TrimShaper brand top. I like tankinis the best. I'm a 34D for comparison. Zero Xposure isn't bad either but I preferred the TrimShaper.

I buy at herroom.com, bare necessities, or figleaves. I have DD chest, so I usually buy a European brand from there (Freya, Panache, etc). They come in cup sizes and are supportive (not sports bra supportive, but better than a triangle or halter top)

On MM there were a ton of posts about 'the suit'. It is an almost universally flattering bathingsuit that is in Walmart. I haven't tried it on, but supposedly it is supportive and forgiving. I don't know which one it is on the website though, so I can't link. Someone on here will know what I'm talking about and be able to link.
I just get 2 pieces at Target or Old Navy, particularly because they were made for 13 year old girls I like Lands End for 1 piece swimsuits though because I have a long torso and these don't ride up.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
