So I've finally found a bathing suit I don't hate. It's the athleta ready-to-run tankini, amd the salesgirl this morning told me it was designed for triathletes to go from running to swimming etc.
I'm overweight, really modest, and want a bathing suit I can hide behind.
i tried on the xl and the l. The xl gapes under the armpits/bust area. But it's comfy in the midsection. The l does not gape but feels tighter across the torso.
Im pretty sure the l fits the way it's supposed to fit. But I feel a bit better in the xl/baggy one.
I'm losing weight. And I hope/plan to lose 15 more lbs over the summer. I also liked this tankini because I could, in theory, run to the pool and then jump into the water and swim in my "running stuff" but I just don't know...
Should I go with l? Xl? Or keep looking? and is it crazy to think that a tankini top cam work for both swimming and running? if this run-swim use is reasonable, should I be buying the l because it fits more like a sports bra should?

I have that suit and like it, but would not recommend it for lap swimming. I wore it at my last tri and the bottom portion kept flapping around (my fault, should have practiced with it beforehand). It's fine for casual swims though.
