I really like Kashi Go Lean cereal - it has a lot of protein and less sugar than most bars. It is also more transport-friendly, since it doesn't have chocolate that will melt in warm weather. You can also toss it in a bag with other ingredients to make a "trail mix" - throw in nuts, dried fruit, etc.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
Chocolate brownie Luna bars but it does melt. I'd just take almonds with me. DH loves Lara bars but I think they are nasty but I hate dates! If you like dates though, you'll like them and they don't all have chocolate and are a very healthy choice.

The Nature Valley Protein bars are awesome. Power Crunch wafer bars=amazing and the Quest bars from GNC are wonderful except not good for just carrying around cause they are kinda tough to eat without micowaving them for 10 secs before eating. The cookie dough ones is like eating one giant bar of actual cookie dough (microwaved first).
They are not protein bars, but I love larabars. Nut roll, banana fosters and cherry cobler are my favorite because they have the least amount of sugar and are just plain tasty. Limited ingredients, typically can be soy, gluten and GMO free.
I love Larabars, especially the peanut butter cookie ones. They do get a little pricey but it's really easy to make them at home. I just put dates into the food processor and let it run until the dates form a ball that travels around the bowl of the food processor then remove the dates and put in peanuts. Pulse until they are chopped, then use a spatula (or your hands) to combine with the dates. I tend to use a cookie scooper and make them into balls and put them in the freezer but they are totally fine to be made into bars and wrapped or put into zip top bags.

Quest bars are my new favorites but they are pricey. Super good for you though - they have 20g protein and 3g net carbs w 18g fiber. And if they are warmed up a little they are really good too!
Larabars. They travel easily too - they don't melt and are perfectly edible even when they're squished and battered. (Firsthand experience...the other day I ate a larabar that had been lurking on the bottom of my purse for lord knows how long and it was fine!)

My faves are Quest Bar Cookie Dough and Brownie and any of the Think Thin bars. Both are high in protein and fiber with no added sugar and under 200 calories.
