My former co-worker ran into a colleague at the conference in May and she recommended me to them, as they are looking for a designer rt now. The opportunity sounds perfect for me - it's remote, part time, i could work on east coast time (which would save us a bit of $ on a nanny or daycare since the first few hrs of work would be before h leaves for work) and it would probably pay well.
She sent us both an introduction via email today - so now I'm not sure if I should respond first, and if I need to CC her too to thank her (I've already thanked her privately) - or if I just email him directly? Also, how do I phrase this? There must be an opening there but they haven't posted a job so there's nothing to reference except a vague description (help their marketing dept w graphic design) by my former coworker and mention of him liking the stuff I've designed for my old company in the past. For some reason, I am really terrible at informal business conversations like this
