I picked up 2 at a race last month and the things won't stay on my head! Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong? If I can get it to stay long enough for me to be coated in sweat, it stays but that's the only time, and it bugs me to death until then.

I have one, and am not a huge fan. It doesn't stay put very well or hold my thick hair in place. I have however used it as a headband to cover my ears when it's cold. For some reason it stays over my ears just fine.
I prefer Bic Bands or just the grippy Goody ones from Target.

I usually have to fold them in threes and use it more to keep sweat from falling in my face and to keep my headphones in my ears. I can't see how they would hold my hair back. Sometimes they make me feel like I'm from the '80s with those.

I'm not a fan of Bondis either. The ONLY one I can use that stays is the plain black one. The colored/printed ones have something in them that makes them slip. I bought these bands by Halo that I think are actually intended for biking and to be worn more on the forehead, but I use them as a regular headband and they stay on GREAT. Definitely my favorites.
is it a print or solid? the prints do not stay put for me, but the solids are fine. I sort of fold mine under a little to make them skinnier and I think that give them traction.
I only have solid ones and mine stay in place. Like ebeth, I fold them up to make them skinnier. I have a huge problem with headbands slipping off my head, so I prefer (solid) Bondibands for that reason, although I don't think they are the most attractive option out there.
so question about these other headbands. . .do they wick? because I'm a big sweaty beast so I need something that is not only going to keep my hair off me and stay put but also wick some head sweat so I don't get hair product tinged sweat dripping into my eyes. that shit burns, yo.

I've had good luck with them, and usually nothing stays in my hair. I found I have to keep them close to my hairline and bunch them up a little bit. ebeth - The thicker ones are made of wicking material, and does work pretty well in keeping the sweat out of my eyes. The thinner ones aren't meant to wick, but they are a poly blend, so they do a pretty decent job.

i dislike bondi bands too.
i like sweaty bands - they are kinda expensive but seem to stay in place better than anything else. i wore a toddler headband from baby gap for a very long time but eventually it stretched out too much and kept sliding off.

I use bondi bands, but switched to the solids last year. had some cute printed ones, but they fall off once my hair is wet or if I start out from the shower. The solid ones stay in though! I also use their arm band for my phone.
I bought a neck gator from them for running in the cold and it won't stay up.
You guys are making me want to try Sweaty Bands! They never looked effective to me, like they'd be terrible with slipping and sweat wicking, but you believers are making me rethink.
I have Bondi Bands, all solid. I think they do an amazing job of wicking sweat - I am a complete sweat monster - but I also have problems with them slipping until they get more sweaty. Compared to everyone else, I can't get them to stay in place if they're folded - I HAVE to wear it fully open. Which I HATE - makes me look really weird.
I have quite a few of them - the thicker, solid colored ones are the only ones that will stay in place. That being said, I don't use them much in the summer time because I always wear them over my ears and/or low on the forehead which leads to interesting tan lines. But they are great for colder weather!
I also have SparklySoul bands and a Noodle Hugger which work great - basically the skinny SweatBands but much more reasonably priced. They are my summer bands and fit/stay in place...IF I let my hair below my ponytail make a bit of a lump that acts as a "brake" for my elastic in the back.
