I mean, I dress them up when we dress up, like for Jake's birthday lunch, and I take into consideration what type of clothes I would wear for the day (long pants, tee, shorts, etc) but that's pretty much it.
Yeah. I also try to pick colors that don't clash since I carry him everywhere and our clothes are close together.
ETA I also "save" his cuter outfits for weekends or if we have plans. I don't want to waste them on daycare. DH keeps saying "He isn't a doll for you to dress up!". Ummm he isn't going to dress himself DH!
I do this many times without even thinking about it, a lot of the times with colors too. I will notice that the three of us (two daughters) are all wearing the same color or style of clothes.

No. I put DD in summer dresses a lot, but I rarely wear dresses. Every once in a while DD will ask to wear matching clothes like if I'm wearing a blue shirt she will pick out a blue shirt.

I do this. I thought it was neurotic. Glad I'm not the only one. I also like to dress them in coordinating (But not identical) outfits. If one messes up her outfit I feel like I need to change the other one too so they still coordinate.

No. They are almost always better dressed than I am. Unless we're at home, in that case my 2.5 year old is usually naked. I can't keep clothes on that kid.
Maybe a little? I mean, when we're having a lazy day at home, we're all in comfy clothes, when we go out, we're casual, parties, we all dress up... I guess I just don't dress my kids super nicely very often, so they're usually on par with me.
I think it might be different with girls, because I would for sure want to have my DD in dresses a lot, and I'd feel schlumpy in leggings next to her. As it is, I don't feel bad about leggings when my boys are in cargo shorts and t's 90% of the time.

Only when we were flying. Whenever we flew anywhere, I'd have all four of us in matching shirts, so if any of us got separated, we'd know what to look for. Those days are long gone (not the flying days, but the either boy saying, "Oh, sure, gimme that t-shirt; I'd love to be out in public dressed like my mom" days.

I've been asked many times if I dressed myself and my girls similarly on purpose, and honestly, I don't plan it or do it intentionally, but somehow it happens.
if i know that photos might be taken, i try to coordinate colors so we don't clash. and, on the weekend at least, we're usually in the same relative levels of comfy-ness since my kid only wants to wear soft things made of cotton and . . . so do i (with a little spandex added to help me out). if we're not in a cotton stretch-appropriate setting, it's likely something "fancier," in which case we are both fancied up.

I went to church with a mother who did this. She even made matching clothes for the doll. I remember the little girl being 11 or 12 still carrying a matching doll around. Fucking weird
On occasion we do something super cheesy like this. I don't have an Elmo shirt, but I do wear my Elmo flip flops. DS thinks it's the coolest thing ever, lol.
Other than this type of cheesiness, no, I don't give any thought to how our outfits look together.
