I was in the park this afternoon with DD and there was a lady with her 2 kids a few blankets over. DD kept trying to go up to them and steal one of the kid's scooters, and she wasn't nice about it at all, even though I was apologetic and never let her so much as touch the damn thing. Anyways- her son (3.5ish) wLked up to her and said "I pooped", and she freaked out at him. Yelling and scolding him and then proceeded to tell him he could sit in it for a while to think about what he did, and then she would change him. WTF?! I know I'm no MOOK but we went through this with my SS and I could not imagine ever doing that to my kid. Is anyone else shocked by this, or is it totally normal practice nowadays?
