The universe (or greater deity) has a way of telling us no-one is forgotten. This story made me smile... I hope the double rainbow brought your family comfort

That's sweet.
My grandma's sign is water, and floods. They had an aboveground pool that collapsed when we were kids and flood the block they lived on. Whenever something about her comes up, there is always some sort of flood or big water spill. It's weird.
This made me tear up. I am glad she got a sign from your grandma.
My grandma's sign is a cardinal and every time we see one in my mom's backyard, we talk about how Nanny (what I called my grandma) was there for a visit.
That is amazing. I believe in signs like this so much. Its so comforting.
My dad would tell me that the reason it would rain on my birthday every year was because my grandma was wishing me a happy birthday (his mom passed away when I was 5). On my wedding day it rained and on the day that both my girls were born it rained too. I'd like to think it was her and the rest of my loved ones there for my special moments . The week that my grandpa died, i was sitting outside Going over readings for his mass & a lady bug landed on my pinky. I'd like to think it was my grandpa saying bye sending his love. There's a song called "Holes in the floor of heaven" it's such a sweet, sad song. Happy birthday to your mom. I'm glad she got a wonderful gift from her mom.

I love your story! I'm not a signs person usually but I feel like I got one I couldn't ignore:
My grandfather passed about 8 years ago. My mom talks a lot about him messing with candles and lights. I don't see it usually, but one time we were having a conversation about him at a restaurant and on the table was a candle in a tall hurricane glass. It went out mid talk. It was definitely a funny/weird moment.
Anyway. My H was working a night shift two months ago and it was around 1am. I was still up reading a book. The lamps in my bedroom started dimming on and off in a cycle for three or so minutes (like they do when you turn on a hair dryer or the a/c kicks on, but it happened probably 30+ times). I was trying to ignore because I was alone and I didn't want to freak out. They stopped and a piece of paper from the top of my high dresser flew off and landed on the floor (no fan, no windows open, etc). I made myself pick it up and it was a birth announcement from a friend of mine that had been up there for months. It was super weird but I tried not to read too much I into it.
And then I found out I was pregnant 3 days later... which was in time to tell my grandma before she passed the following week (I didn't tell anyone else in the family for another month but I knew she was on her way out so I wanted her to know). My H is 100% convinced my grandpa was giving me the heads up about the baby. When I told my mom all of this, she bawled. I think he's probably gone now that grandma has passed but I love that he sent me this message.
