I've never heard of those three. Hassock seemed vaguely familiar, like I'd read it in a book or something, but when I googled it I definitely had no idea it was like an ottoman. I was thinking an item of clothing. Huh.
I know the term hassock as it relates to a swampy area, not a piece of furniture. Like, a patch of high ground/grassy area in a swamp is what I'd call a hassock.
I am Canadian eh, and I have never heard of a hassock, a dirt trail or a cooter beats the hell out of me. toque is like ski hat a lot of the time with a tassel on top.
A hassock to me sounds like a fish. yes i know it is haddock
Just like Stag and Does. really common here, but noone outside of Ontario has heard of them.
I guess even our provinces have weirdio slang words! Many things I have never heard about. (pardon the spacing, and sometimes run on words, my spacebar has a mind of its own lately.

My area has a lot of buck and does. Everyone has one, unless you are basically a hermit. I remember explaining it ages ago in TN and got flamed for it. It was kind of hilarious. My buck and doe was one if the best parts about getting married!!

They are called stag and hens in England
They are so much fun! It's not unheard of to make $10000 to $15,000 a night depending in your family's standing in the community and size. I think we made $5000 on ours. It was an awesome drunk fest of a party!
