A few months ago I was sick for an entire weekend and was confined to the couch. As a way of getting back at my body, I decided to sign up for the Tough Mudder on a whim.
It's today and I'm freaking out!! I've never been this nervous for a run! I'm not worried about the distance (about 10-12 miles) but I'm terrified of the obstacle courses. I'm so not bad ass enough for this! I don't like jumping off of tall things, or falling from any height, or getting electrocuted.
WTF was I thinking. Luckily I'm running with a few friends, so hopefully they'll calm me down.
I know for sure I'm going around at least 2 of them- the ice water one and the electrical wires. The ice water one seems like such a bad idea because its so hot out (in the 90s) and the water is below freezing. You can't tell me that changing your body temperature that fast in the middle of a run is safe. Nope nope nope.
The electrical wires I'm just afraid of! And they're right before the finish, so everyone is going to see me be like "Peace out!" And walk around the other way. Lol.
Thanks for the good thoughts! I'm home now- totally disgusting and cut and bruised and feeling amazing. I would do this every weekend! It was so much fun!!!
