We just cleaned up from the little party we had for DD1's birthday. She requested a pool party since we have a new pool. It was a blast, but now I'm tired and could sleep for hours, lol.

Our last house had a pool and hot tub and it was glorious....then we adopted two little kids and were scared of them and the pool so we moved 8 years ago to our house now and it has a neighborhood pool -- all the fun and none of the cleaning/worry/upkeep.

Maybe you are the mystery person 3 yr old is talking to when she keeps saying "Nana noonoo I'm in the pool!" We got a kiddie pool this week:) ...sent from my Jedi mind
The in-laws have offered us the use of their HOA's pool, which is really quite nice of them. Unfortunately, it is full to the brim of children, always.
I would love one too. This yard is too small for it. and lol, dh would have to maintain it b/c that's his family's career, so I'd consider him the expert.
A few years ago, I finally talked my brother into giving me one of his passes to the marina where he keeps his sailboat. I took kiddo a lot last year and hope to do the same this year. I think we may actually be closer to it from our house than we were from our apartment, so there's one more bonus of our move, I guess. (I miss our downtown life still a ton)
I always LOVED late night swims to relax when i'm somewhere with a pool. It's peaceful, quiet, and nobody to bug you. I also love it in the hot summer sun.
My parents had a pool when we were younger but got rid of it when I finally moved out. I miss it every damn summer, all 2 months of it. I`m hoping my brother will get a pool now that my nephew is almost 5 and loves swimming.
Yeah, and I am really pissed at people who buy houses with pools and fill it in fields Either way, when we do finally buy we will buy a house with a pool or put one in. I can't imagine surviving without one through many Tennessee summers. We have access to a few right now, thankfully.
One of the great joys of my community is the separate child and adult pools. And the adult pool is a lap pool surrounded by cabanas. We mix drinks, take them out in Jamba Juice cups, and its like being at a hotel.

My gym has a pool and a little splash area and water slides. I love it. I spent so much time there today, I am super burned. I love going there but I'd never want to own a pool. Ever.

This is a really really cool feature.
The only suck is that when you have a baby, you're doomed to swim in the "pee pool" with them. I figure every child pool is burning with chlorine to kill all the pee. But when I'm all alone, I LOVE the separate pools. (so this is def the way to go, just blows post-kid after years of using adult pools.)

You are never going to let me live this down, are you! Lol.

Never! LOL. I will probably bitch about it on my deathbed and everyone will think I lost my mind. "Stupid fields filling in perfectly good pools!"
Wow. Pools are deal breakers for me lol. My parents have a pool and its really nice but A LOT of work. My mom is always scooping leaves, finding animals (read SNAKES) in the skimmers, and refilling it with water. It's a money pit and lots of work! My future kids can go swim at the grandparents' instead
My parents put a pool in 7 years ago, and they really love it. I can't say I use it much, but I enjoy floating, but the kids love it. Pool chemicals and what not seem like a royal pain in the ass though.
