A ring sling would be nice. Like others said I would try borrowing an ergo from a friend, it is sturdy and comfortable and manly, lol, so your H can wear her. Otherwise Chimparoo makes decent woven wraps and mei tais reasonably priced but even those are about $100.
There may be a baby wearing group near you if you check fb. They often have loaners you could try for a week. Some crunchy independent baby stores do too. Or a friend. (Re ergo. I think I'd try becco Gemini if I shopped again b that can convert to forward face).
Ring sling- papie sold me on my maya wrap ring sling. I bought it on eBay for $14 or $19 - it was something reasonable like that.
LoVED that around the house. She was very mobile and wanted to see everything. Sling was easier to take her in and out and I could transfer her to bed if she fell asleep in my arms in it. Also awesome for plane rides esp after my arm fell asleep under sleeping baby first plane ride when I didn't have it. Dh never used the sling or Moby. He used the ergo and bjorn a little. His fave has always been the backpack carrier and kiddo adores that. We found that for $5 at a garage sale. Or my parents did
I know I had a ridiculous amt of carrier types but they were all decent prices on Craigslist or eBay or gifts. And ea were great in diff ways. I'm a little bummed I'm pretty uncomfortable when I put c in any kind of carrier on me now. Makes me sad, those days may be over w her. I carried her in bjorn recently and Btwn her bouncing in excitement and the motion against growing baby belly I was miserable. :*(. I loved using baby carriers w her.
