My surgery was bumped, so I should be going in sometime this morning. I'm SO nervous. The nurses here are awesome about pain though, and I'm currently getting morphine.
For those who missed what happened, I fell down the stairs yesterday and fractured my fibula in my ankle. I need surgery to put a metal plate in.
Oh, and my hospital roommate is senile and apparently in a lot of pain. She won't stop.yelling in Croatian

Oh no! I read your post last night and I'm glad you went to the Dr. Obviously, a sprain would have been more convenient. I'm sorry Hope it all goes smoothly!
Lemme know which pep talk you want, I got bunches, including the "a bone injury is much better than a soft tissue injury" "cute casts are conversation starters" "orthopedic surgeons are attractive" and "wait til you see the upper arm definition you get from crutches"

As someone dealing with soft tissue injury, I agree 100%.

True story. The guy who did my knee and who I might see again relatively soon for the same damn knee is super good looking.
Oh no. I'm sorry about your ankle- BUT, I hear the swear words are the best part of croatian. Ask her for lessons! I bet she'll be pleased to swear as much as possible, and you'll both have some fun?
I hate this for you, and I hope you have a smooth recovery. And this sounds like an awful thing to say now, but bones do usually heal better than soft tissue injuries.
