I don't know that the link will work because its a mobile link. I'm actually really unimpressed by the houses I've seen in that price range given that I live in such a LCOL area. I expect a castle for that price (for where I live - it would obviously vary place to place).
Kissimmee, FL . This is about 30 mins. from me. We didn't have much in my area, housing is super cheap here. The only area with super pricey homes is in Lake Wales, the town next to me. They have a lot of old money and HUGE houses.
There are some amazing homes you've show in your area! Isn't it so crazy that downtown Orlando, maybe an hour from you I'm guessing, I can only find small bungalows for $350k. Those homes would be at least $100k more! The white one you posted is awesome too. I'm in Oviedo, which is in Seminole County.

Oh, we bought our house for under 300k, but it's worth about 360k. I'm guessing a lot of the smaller houses, like mine, in this neighborhood, that aren't currently for sale, are probably around 350k-ish.

4 BR/4 bath 3,384 sq ft with 1.27 acres. Listed much higher than it's value and would never sell that high. It might go for high 200's, but I doubt it'll sell soon!

I didn't realize you were in Clinton. My family has a lake house in Warsaw! And my highschool used to play you in sports.
Small world! I had to hold my tongue the other day what with the KU thread and all.... Let me know if/when you come to the lake! I didn't go to school here, but MH did.
@sprinkles I didn't know you live in West Michigan! Is your avatar pic on Lake MI? I have family in Ada. The massive house they bought was listed as an estate. They paid less than a million for it. Michigan's housing market is insane.
I do! and umm I'm not sure if thats Lake Michigan. I think its Spring Lake/Grand Haven (if you know where that is), it connects to Lake Michigan. You have family in Ada? Thats really neat!! Ada isn't too big, and I swear my family takes up most of it! haha (We dont live in Ada, though. We're 10 mins away). MI housing market is insane, but dont try to sell. Its pretty much impossible.

That same family member has a house on Lake Michigan on the Spring Lake/GH line. I also have family in GH that I visit every summer
Here is where it gets sad. $1 million still only gets you a 2 bedroom condo, 1500 sq feet. BOO. I mean, it is decent on the inside, but for a million dollars I would really like a touch more room.
It's getting better in metro Detroit...prices aren't what they used to be but I have heard of a lot of friends of friends that are trying to buy and houses are getting multiple offers and they're having bidding wars. People are putting offers on 3,4 houses before they find one and some are even offering above asking price to not get shoved out. Our DCP just moved from here to GR and sold her house in like 3 days.

Lol, that's the building where we had my wedding reception.
Too funny! I know a few people who had their wedding there. The buildings see, nice and they have great concierge service from what I can tell, but they tend to have a lot of trouble selling the units.
For 500k you can live down the street from me! With 2 bedrooms. Not bad. No doorman or anything but I used to live across the street from this and now live up the street,so obviously I like the neighborhood

They were really popular luxury apartments back in 2007 when I got married. But then shortly after that they decided to convert to condos (perfect timing for real estate, hahaha), annoying many long-time residents and neighbors. They kicked residents out and did a remodel one building at a time. I'm not exactly sure when the project finished, but they burned a ton of goodwill through sloppy management. Plus who would want to live in a luxury construction project for years? I guess I'm not surprised they've had a lot of trouble selling.
fryjack2, is this family member from Ada....have they lived there for quite some time? My grandparents (well, just grandpa now) has lived there for YEARS and years and pretty much knows everyone. I wonder if he knows your relative
There are only 3 houses and 2 condos in that price range. One house is in the not so great part of the city (but that isn't really saying much because this particular city is pretty nice).
There is quite the range of types of properties. 1 bed, 1 bath 1900 sqft condo www.redfin.com/homes-for-sale#!market=socal&max_price=375000&min_price=325000®ion_id=4249®ion_type=6&v=8
