I hear ya. I feel like I spent my 20s in bridesmaids' dresses. I am very much enjoying my 30s as an obligation-free party guest. (Of course I would love to be in a wedding if it was someone I cared about, blah blah blah)
I think my one time trip down the aisle as a bridesmaid will be the only one. I left my unmarried friends in CA and most of my new friends in Portland are married already.
I've only been a bridesmaid twice, because most of my closest friends got married while I was in China. I was sad to miss their weddings, but not sad to miss having to spend all that money on travel and dresses.

awww yay! I cant wait to see pics of you guys all fancy!
I actually love being a bridesmaid! I've had to give two matron of honor speeches. See guys, speeches, that is another reason there shouldn't be "dry" weddings.

I am so over being a bridesmaid. A lot of my good friends are still unmarried in their 30s, so I feel like my days are not behind me. I'd rather just be a guest these days!

When is the wedding? If it is not for awhile J might be big enough for a CREWCUTS DRESS!!!!
Also, why did all of my good friends get married before I had kids? My kids are too cute to not be flower girls. Harper is going to start losing teeth in a few years, and start looking goofy, her flower girl days are peaking! -Obnoxious but true.
I've never been a bridesmaid and most of my friends are married now so I doubt I ever will be. H has been a groomsman three times now so I've been through all the rehearsal dinners and stuff.
I have never been a bridesmaid. I was supposed to be for XH's sister, but we were stationed in Oklahoma and his leave got cancelled last minute. There was a lot of drama involved, but it was completely unavoidable. I had already paid for the dress and everything.
I just got asked to be a bridesmaid out of state too! I've never been one, so I'm excited. I did the same think thinking about a cute suit for William, rather than a dress.
That was my first thought too! They are born again (which I am still trying to get used to, since BIL used to be wild), so I guess it could go either way.
Hmmmm... so maybe they just want to get married right away so they can have sex if they are virgins?
