I bought bread yesterday at a fruit and veggie market. It's fancy, store made sunflower bread. This morning I found mold on the bread. We ate maybe 2 slices yesterday so I've got almost an entire loaf of moldy bread.
Would you just throw it out or would you bring it back or just cut off the white mold and eat it?
I really like this market and this is the first time it has happened. If I do bring it back and they are nasty about it (they don't like me because I speak English) I might have a hard time going back, but I really like this place. Normally their produce and baked goods are awesome. I'm so torn.
I would take it back and frame it as "I just wanted to let you know, you might want to check your stock. I love the bread here and have never had a problem, and I'm sure it's just this one loaf, but I wanted to let you know."
Why do they dislike you because you speak English? What do they speak? Don't many of the people they encounter speak English?

Its a Russian and Spanish run store. It actually used to appear as 2 stores, one Russian and one Asian. They were connected, but the products on the respective sides were in those languages. The stores merged and seems like the Asian cashiers are all gone, so its predominantly Russian speakers now. The Russian community I live by is very insular and i've yet to meet a cashier in a number of stores I frequent that has not been annoyed that I don't know what they're saying. I'm not sure how many non-Russians/non-Spanish speaking people actually go in.
