So I work for SSA doing disability adjudication. Our most recent ethics video said how we are not allowed to look up claimant's FB accounts to determine how credible they are in their statements.
I felt 100 years old because I never would have even thought of doing that ever.

Potential employers requesting/requiring access to applicants' facebook pages? Internet photography copyrights? When cyberbullying crosses state lines?

The media keeps reporting that employers are supposedly asking employee prospects for their FB account as part of the hiring process. It seems far fetched to me but I'm naive like that.
Sharing netflix data on facebook. there is the video information privacy act of 1984(?), that says video rental information is confidentialish, so netflix isn't allowed to make an app to easily share what you watch.
I think this is still true. Let me dig for a minute.
I looked into the digitization of indigenous cultural and intellectual property once, and how digitization makes it harder for indigenous communities to assert their rights over that material. I don't remember much about it - I didn't end up writing about it - but it's an interesting topic.
Another recent one that came to light after Angelina Jolie shared her story is DNA info in anonymous samples having markers. Specifically in Iceland they are facing it and I believe in other places as well. Should anonymous status of DNA ever be changed? Should saving lives or saving anonymity come first?
Also, there are a bunch of new-ish digital student evaluation platforms/databases. You can assess a student's grades, expand the search and do it on a class-by-class basis. This can be used to evaluate a teacher's "success"and potentially put their job at risk if someone could do these searches (which many people can).

Let's talk more about cyber bullying because this is also something I pondered. What are your thoughts on this?
I don't have legal expertise, but it seems like something that would be difficult to prosecute if the victim was in one state and the harasser was in another. Like in Trudy's experience, if she had chosen to go to the police, who would she contact? Her local police or the police in PA?
