Is this dress too much for a graduation?

I love it and for the first time in a long time, my H actually commented on how I looked in a dress.  My usual attire is shorts and a tank top so my sense for these sorts of things is off.  I think it might be too much for a high school graduation (SS is graduating this weekend) but he assures me it isn't.  I think he just wants me for arm candy.  lol  I will most likely have to wear a cardigan over it (I have black and a dark blue) and I need to find some sort of non-heeled shoe to wear with it.  Oh, and have the back altered too (there is a weird strap that goes across the shoulders that is too long for my back), you know, before we leave Thursday morning at the buttcrack of dawn.

I wasn't going to try it on by my friend insisted.  I was positive it would look bad but I put it on and the heavens parted and angels sang.  lol  That rarely happens for me.

For a short term fix, safety pin the back. Your cardigan will cover it. Have it altered when you get back.

I dropped it off an hour ago and they will have it done tomorrow afternoon.  Problem solved!

Yeah.  My thoughts exactly but it is for my SIL graduation so we are going to brave it for her.  And so I can snuggle my new nephew the whole time.
