The leak in my kitchen is back. The cupboards got soaked last time and smell horrible. I have to deal with assholes to get them replaced and DH and I cannot pay for it ourselves, so we are at the mercy of the co-op board.
My baby is napping so I can't even go find the super to get the leak checked and I know the woman in the apt above mine works during the day. I honestly don't see a point of trying to get someone to stop the leak before 5:00 at the earliest.
Based on what they found last time (a whole bunch of nothing, just a slightly leaky faucet in an upstairs apt that should not have caused the amount of water I got into my apt) they are going to need to break into the walls. There have been 2 times that I remember this happening in my apt. Once, my mom had a hole in her bedroom wall for almost a year while I was a kid, and the second time is over my fridge where the leak is. They destroyed the wall, left a mess and never rebuilt the section they broke. Oh, and there was one time they had to break into another wall while I was abroad. They didn't clean up the dust from breaking the concrete and left my asthmatic mother to do so on her own.
My house has 27 years of disgusting in the cabinets (we don't use them often) and so much of my house is just so dirty from my mom not being the best housekeeper. I get so disgusted by it and no amount of scrubbing fixes it. I've tried.
Also, my DD decided 6:45 was time to get up and spend all that time screaming and melting down or kicking and hitting. I am not amused.
And my laundry is going but I had to get the baby for a nap and couldn't stretch it any longer, meaning someone is going to take my clothes out of the machines I used. I don't like when people touch my stuff in the washer, but I don't have a choice.
Anyone wanna take a boarder? I need a new home and someone to hug me and brush my hair or something that is supposed to be nice and soothing.
I'm sorry you're having house problems. That sucks.
H has to travel a lot for a new client his company picked up this spring. I'd offer to house share with you, but we have smelly leaky problems, too, so it wouldn't help you much.
