I pretty much hate all vegetables. But my kids like a lot of them if they are cooked. I figure a good picnic type lunch for the girls would be a pasta salad. But all I can think of putting in it is tomatoes.

For a regular pasta salad I do cherry tomatoes, red onion, celery, carrots, cucumber, and bell pepper usually. I also make a really good Asian noodle salad with spinach, cabbage, bell pepper, etc.

I do grape tomatoes, broccoli, bell peppers and sometimes shredded carrots, tossed with Italian dressing (cubed cheese and ham and a little parmesan makes it even better). Sometimes I lightly steam the broccoli and peppers, because for me, the raw flavor is a bit too strong.
