Quick backstory: Last week I was getting zero output from one breast when I pumped. I thought nothing of it, I'm not pumping as much any more. However, as the day went on, I was getting SUPER engorged. I was almost in tears my breast was so painful! I found what I thought was a milk blister, scraped it off with my fingernail, squeezed really hard, and got a little milk out. I put the pump back on, and was able to pump 3.5 ounces in two minutes. Since then, I've been ok. About two days ago, I noticed after he nursed on that side, my nipple was stinging. NBD, it went away. That nipple has been sore, like bruised feeling, but not bad. Well, tonight, it is stinging really bad. Right in the nipple and radiating into the breast. A quick google search indicates thrush or yeast, but everything I see talks about a younger baby, so I'm not sure if that is what it is. Any thoughts? Has anyone had thrush or experienced stinging nipple pain?
I had thrush in my boobs for seriously almost 3 months!! It fucking sucked asshole! I had to go to an infectious disease specialist to finally get rid of it because the Fluconozole made my liver numbers go high. It felt like little bugs crawling in my boobs and my nipples were very pink and itchy. I hope it's not that! If so you can get a script for Fluconozole (if you haven't used it in the past a lot it should work quickly, I had used it before when I went through my cancer tx so it didn't work well for me). Had to use this stuff Genitian Violet ( and paint my nipples purple- no fucking lie!! )hahaha Hope you don't have it!!
