during one of our brainstorming meetings we tooled around with the idea of having a doomsday exhibition. I think it would be pretty awesome, we should all be prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse
DH has a coworker stockpiling guns for this purpose. His 10 year old asked him why he has so many guns and he told his kid they are for the zombies. The poor kid will have nightmares until he is old enough to realize his dad is crazy.
Hmmm honestly I think in a lot of cases they're using "zombie apocalypse" as a culturally relevant reference to encompass "any doomsday/terrorist shit I'm paranoid about."
So I kind of give a pass to the reasonable. We say our "food storage" is for the zombie apocalypse and we had an escape plan out of the city for the zombie apocalypse, etc., but we don't actually think of it in terms of literal zombies. It makes a scary situation you should (reasonably) prepare for easier to handle, that's all.
There's a house in my town that has this big, like, dome shelter thing with a door leading underground. One day I saw them hauling couches and shit down there. We don't have really any natural disasters here, so I'm just going with the idea that it's a zombie apocalypse shelter. Lol!
I took a picture of it. Haha. That metal lifted thing behind the dome is the trap door and I don't know if you can make out the tan couch just chillin.
