Happy National Running Day! Yes, it's National Running Day, "a day when runners everywhere declare their passion for running," except for Mark Remy, who declares his bemusement with National Running Day and then pokes gentle fun at it. Well, not this year, readers. This year, I thought to myself, Hey, if National Running Day is, like, a real "day," why doesn't it have its own greeting cards? Then I thought, You know what kind of cards runners could use most? Sympathy cards.
Then I sat down and made some. Here are seven elegant, tasteful cards that you can use to commiserate with runner friends. (Plus one bonus card, at the end.) Click through at the bottom of each page to view the next card.
My favorites:
(I was going to post it to FB, but I figured you guys would laugh more.)
I legit have a toenail loss phobia. I don't want to lose a toenail!
I always did too, it was the grossest thing in the universe to me. Until I lost one. I made my husband cover it with a band aid the instant it fell off because I didn't want to look at it. He made me look and honestly, the other new toenail was already growing in, so it wasn't that bad.
