My parents gave us this bed as a gift when we bought our house 7 years ago & I still haven't found nightstands that I love. The walls are Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray. Duvet is West Elm Pintuck in Dark Gray. We have a black & cream throw , as well as some assorted cream-colored pillows on the bed. I would really like to stay away from the whole Mission furniture look in the room, apart from the bed. The master bath is completely visible when you're standing in our room & it's painted the same gray & has this tile on both the floor & in the shower stall. It's kind of an organic look for the most part.
Any nightstand ideas? ETA- a tree stump, an old stepladder? I would prefer that they not be a traditional nightstand What about lamps? Thanks!!

We have a mission style bed paired with brushed nickle nightstands that have glass shelves. It's a nice combo because it breaks up the wood and makes the room a bit more modern.
For non-traditional, what about small trunks? Is there any random thing you have a love that has a flat surface you could put a piece of glass on top of?
