I don't think I've watched a 10 day forecast so intently since I was getting married 6 years ago.
FWIW, at 5-10 days out, it was smooth sailing. When the time finally came, we had a late season snow storm the day before, and a bunch of guests got stranded. Whoops.
I have a hard time believing forecasts, even though I look at them obsessively before races. This past Sunday morning, we had a forecast that said 60% rain that night...and we didn't even get a drop. Sending good weather thoughts your way!
Yes. I am doing a 10 mi long run this weekend, and a ride of not-yet-decided length, then next week will be pretty easy. I can't believe I'm here! I know my training could've been more solid if I hadn't traveled last month, but it is what it is. This is my first one, so finishing = PR, and I feel pretty prepared. I mean, I did a 4:08 half iron aquabike last year on a small fraction of the training. So steady as she goes from here.
