I'm doing the MFP thing and had Chipotle with my kids today. I had the "burrito bowl" but it looked like this. double chicken black beans sautéed peppers/onions sprinkling of cheese tons of mild salsa and lettuce big ass scoop of guacamole ? Im getting everything from 400-1000 in MPF.
When I eat ~2/3 of a burrito bowl I feel like I've eaten about 600 calories. I tracked my food for nearly a year and have a very good sense of how sick I feel if I try to eat more than 600 calories in one sitting. The most often quoted number for a full burrito bowl with guac is around 900 calories.
Some of that is science and some of that is 'I feel...', which isn't necessarily accurate with calorie counting.
Love chipotle! I eat there on a ridiculously frequent basis. When I was working on losing weight, it was great to be able to eat a salad there and feel completely full at only 400 calories. I credit chipotle and exercise with me losing 40 lbs a few yrs ago!
It is dangerous! I grew up in VT, in the northeast kingdom, I live in SC now, but I always enjoy your posts about weather etc, reminds me of home
Where in the NEK did you live?!?! I lived in Burke and Lyndonville for awhile, and I am heading up to Littleton tomorrow!
I grew up in Island Pond, about 20 min from Burke, i skied there my entire childhood I moved to Burlington for college and met my husband there! We've since migrated south, first to Boston, then Richmond, now Charleston. We are taking the trek up the first week in August to visit my family and i cant wait. I can't remember, are you from Vt originally?
Chipotle's website has a nutrition calculator where you check off the ingredients you had. I ran yours through and came up with 795.
This. Although they routinely use more of some ingredients than stated on the website (ie. they always do 2 scoops of rice instead of the 4oz stated on the nutritional website).
