Or at least give me some suggestions.
I have had the worst heartburn for the past month. It doesn't matter what I eat or when I eat.
On top of that I have been burping and getting the hiccups a lot. Oh, and I've had loose stools too. (Sorry, TMI)
Anyhow I feel like my digestive system is a mess and I'm wondering if it could be allergies or something. Any thoughts?

Sounds like GERD (gastroesophageal reflux) to me. Have you tried Pepcid or Prilosec or Prevacid to see if they help?

Ditto on the GERD! Also, sometimes post nasal drip can really upset your systems. Do you have bad pollen allergies or anything?

I have no diagnosis, but papaya enzyme was the only thing that helped my insane pregnancy heartburn.

Well between that and suddenly buying a condo, yes.

I haven't tried any meds besides tums. Can you take Prilosec and the other stuff every day? Or is this something that should hopefully improve?

Yeah, you can take them every day. I take zantac 150 mg every morning. Except store brand (ranitidine) bc I'm cheap and it's the same. It really helps. Coffee is the worst for me, even though I love it

Prilosec is every day for 14 days, according to the package, and then it should improve.
That said, I take it every day and know plenty of other people who do as well. The same is true of Prevacid and Pepcid.

Also inverted yoga poses do wonders for digestive issues like heartburn.

Gerd. Go to your doc and ask for a proton pump inhibitor like pantaloc, pariet or nexium.
