W and I went to the spray park today, it was so much fun!

Just kidding, it sucked ass.  First, I'll start by saying that I hate sunscreen.  I do NOT like the way it feels and I hate having to put it on.  But it's a necessity and so I got him covered,  into his swim stuff, and packed a bag.  This took about eleventy billion minutes.  Then we drove to the close spray park but it was closed for maintenance.  So we drove to the other one and he cried like I took his cookie and used it to kill his blankie.  I wish I had a picture, but I left my phone in the car.  He was completely miserable.  So we left.  I forgot to take off his water shoes so end of his seat is soaked.  Derp.  I was determined to have a spray park experience, so when we got home I put him in the shower.  Loved it!  Jerk.

It's such a bummer when you plan something fun (like a good mom, instead of the usual "you go play while I GBCN") and it flops.  I don't know that he enjoyed the shower as much as it was okay because he got to play with his favorite toy, a contact lens case.

This is the worst. I hate planning fun activities and having them backfire. He looks awfully cute in his swimsuit though.

Kids don't need fancy toys or experiences! Just contact lens cases
