They don't always stand up well. We got one last year with a slide and it just didn't work well. We had one before that which worked fine, but I like the hard plastic pool better. Also, some of them do have slides.
yes, but we threw ours out and bought a new one each year for 3 years. dd is 5 and over them now, but she certainly loved that thing up until 3. one year i did get the one from one step ahead with the shade. i can't remember how much that one was. if i go look and find out it was expensive i'm going to be pissed. lol
I think I could live with the shitty slide, but not with mildew.
It's so hot here that it seems like if I just drained it, shook it out, and then left it in the sun for a couple of hours after using it, it would dry out.
This is what I do. The sun dries it out fairly quickly. It will get gross if you leave it out though.
This is what we do, then we flip it over so it doesn't fill up with leaves, rain, etc. So far it seems to be working fine. We did get a new one this year (so that we could fit in it, too!), but they are cheap enough that I don't mind.

We tried several of the activity inflatable pools and never had luck with any of them. I did get this one when I was big and pregnant over the summer. I would sit around and read in it by myself (I'm sure my neighbors LOVED that. lol) It's held up really well! 5 years later, my kids still use it. We empty it and let it dry out once a week or so. Sometimes my H will get in it with a sponge and soap to clean it.

Someone on my facebook feed recently said that exact slide was the best summer purchase they have made this summer. I bookmarked it and play to give it a shot for $30.
Our inflatable pool gets slimy, but it's easy to clean. The bigger issue I have is that Andrew has a hard time getting in and out of it. The side is too high for him to get over without using his hands, but every time he puts his hands on the side to help, he pushes the side down and a ton of water pours out. That's my main reason for wanting to trade ours out for a hard plastic one.
