Wow, it looks like there were a lot of PRs and strong races this weekend - congrats to everyone.
I did a lot of (slow) long distance running in high school, college, and the first couple of years after college and then just up and quit for about 8 years after being completely burned out from it. I started running again about a year ago and am really enjoying it. I have to say, for me, it is soooo much more enjoyable to be running 12-15 miles a week now instead of when I was doing 30-40 miles per week.
I ran a 5K this weekend, my first one since my 8 year running hiatus, and had a blast! It was a small, local race with about 80 runners. I did it in 25:13. I can wait to keep up with this distance and try to beat my time!
Everyone on this board has been so fabulous, supportive, and really kept me motivated. You guys are rock stars!
