My long workouts are done. Before my last long ride, I changed both my front & rear tires just for practice. I finally decided what I'm wearing to race in. Last night I put my speed laces in my current running shoes. This weekend my race morning food went on the grocery shopping list. I looked up my bib # for Saturday (67 sounds lucky enough, right?). I sent my mom the link to the live results tracking site.
I want to go race. I just want to go do it.
I think I'm going to take all of Friday off to pack and get out there. But 4 days in the office, not sure how I'm going to make it. I haven't been this torqued up about a race in a long time.
It is SO hard to focus on other things the week of a big race! Try to keep busy and motivated on work projects, and keep drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. Other than that, you've just got to wait it out until race day. Good luck!

I can never focus on anything the week of a big race. And I tend to start bouncing of the walls from a combination of tapering and anxious energy. Sounds like you're ready!
It's the best & worst feeling all at the same time, isn't it? I can never focus on anything but the race, I have tons of nervous/excited energy, & I eat everything in sight. Hang in there. I can't wait to hear your report!

You are going to do great! The week of my half ironman, my friends threatened to drug me with Xanax. I was freaking out about stupid little stuff. Take a deep breath, it will all be ok.
