Do you mean like freezing a dixie cup and doing an ice massage with that? I think I used to do 5-10 minutes, but that also roughly coincided with it getting pretty melted.

Here's my first experience: five minutes of icing - ice slides out of cup onto office carpet and breaks - wet carpet under my chair now. Oh and my pant leg is wet. This is messy stuff!
My dogs also want the ice (ICE CUBES!!!), so I'm usually fending them off.
