I decided to sign up for this 70.3 months ago thinking it's ok if It's right after school gets out, it won't be too bad. Well of course I have a million and one things to do and I need to pack the night before I leave on Friday. It's such a pain in the ass because we have to take a very long ferry ride to our destination and I won't have much time between school getting out and leaving. Help me think this out, let me know if I'm missing something:
Swim: Wetsuit Two pairs of goggles Anti chafe cream Small towel
Bike: Bike (duhhhh!) Helmet Two pairs of gloves, one full coverage, one half fingered ( might be cold) Arm warmers Water bottles (3) Pump Bike shoes Socks
Run: Visor Sunglasses Race belt Running shoes
Overall: Carbo pro mix Electrolyte drink mix Endurox recovery drink Race kit HRM and watch Honey stinger waffles Clothes for after race Clothes for next day(or just wear what I came in) Pj's Toothbrush Toothpaste Undies Bra Sports bra Flip flops Sunscreen Aleve Kindle
I always pack healthy snacks so almonds, apples, oranges, bananas would be included. Do you read or something to wind down before bed or if you can't sleep?
I love that you are so nonchalant about a 70.3 - youre an iron maniac.
The only thing I can't think of is your flat repair kit, but you probably keep that on your bike? I train & race w/ a different setup so it's always on my list.
Otherwise, I always bring tape, a transition mat (is that your small towel in swim?), chamois butter, multi tool, & baby wipes.

Well it's not my 'A' race, it's a training race to figure out what's working and what's not. If it was my 'A' race I would be stressed.i still want to do good though, I'm excited to see what I've been building up since the end of January!!
