Before i injured myself i was doing about 35 mpw, a typical week was:
monday: crosstrain Tuesday, thhursday, friday: 5-6 mile run Wednesday: speedwork (~4 miles) Saturday: 6-8 mile run Sunday: long run, depends on training schedule
Anyway, once im recovered, ill probably drop it down to five days of running. Six was clearly too much.
Monday - run 5.5-6 Tuesday - run 6.5-7.5 (AM)/ride 20 (PM) Wednesday - run 6-6.5 Thursday - rest Friday - run 6-7 Saturday - run 12+ Sunday - ride 20
Some of this gets moved around a bit on some weeks. It is kind of weird to do a Thursday rest day, but I have a late meeting on Wednesday and an early one on Thursday, so it works well for my work schedule.
Mine varies depending on if I run by myself or push the twins in the double BOB, but here is a typical week:
Sunday - 4mi with kids Monday - 4mi with kids Tuesday - 6mi Wednesday - rest (or 4mi walk with kids) Thursday - 6mi Friday - 4mi Saturday - 6mi (sometimes with kids)
I try to do situps/push-ups/planks/tricep dips 3x a week in the evening after the kids are in bed. If I don't get my run in, I will do a Jillian Michaels DVD.
My rest day also varies, but it is typically one day a week, in the middle of the week if I can plan it out properly.
When I'm not training for something specific, I usually run 6-8 miles 3 x a week, 3-5 1 or 2 x a week, and then a longer run of 10-12. I do strength 3x a week, plus pilates or yoga 1x.
