Anyone been to Clink at the Liberty Hotel?

I'm attending a cocktail party there this weekend and don't know what to wear.  (I'm assuming not prison stripes)

Prison stripes would be awesome.

I saw it featured on Chronicle last week (or the week before) and it looks fun/historic/cool. But I'm weird and like that kind of thing.

I have no advice being as I am the opposite of fashionable. Just wanted to say that it looks like an awesome place to go.

Whatever you would normally wear to a cocktail party at a lounge.

The last time I was there for a cocktail party it was for an alumni event for my alma mater so I wore a black dress & black pumps. It was kind of a business-y type attire vibe because that was what the party was.

In your case, not knowing the details, I would probably wear a knee length dress and black strappy sandals.

It probably depends on what kind of party it is, but I would agree with LTs suggestion.

I wore dark jeans and heels and was probably the most dressed-down person there.  I didn't get weird looks or anything, but I could have dressed fancier.  Lots of short cocktail dresses, guys in ties, etc.  Great people watching!  The lobby, bar, etc was very cool.

Yeah lots of guys in suits and ties when I was there, too, I just wasn't sure if it was because of the alumni event and people had come from work - it was a week day from 6-8 pm.

I think I was there on a Saturday night, so not just the after work crowd.  I just looked at their website, and I think I was actually in the Liberty Bar (lobby area).  Clink itself looks very cool with the tables in old cells.  Anyway, what I am trying to say is I would dress up.  You won't be overdressed.

I love getting dressed up, so I would probably wear a cocktail dress, heels, and fun jewels. Most people were pretty dressy. However, you would also be fine in nice jeans, silky shirt, blazer, something like that. It's a fun place!

It's pretty swanky there on a Saturday night -- I'd dress up for sure.
