My poor mutt ( not really a poodle, she is a terrier mix) hasn't been feeling well. At first I thought she may have eaten something that upset her stomach. But the past two nights she has woken me up repeatedly needing to go outside to the bathroom.
I hate being woken up hourly and I hate even more that she isn't feeling like herself. Now I am waiting for the vet to open.

Poor baby. I hope it's something easily treatable. Is the pottying just a pee or is it a poop too? If it's just pee it's hopefully just a UTI that some antibiotics can knock out.
Poor little S! This has been a terrible week for puppies! Duff is better, but then my boss called this morning saying she wouldn't be in because she needed to take her bulldog in. Then the DM stopped by my office saying he had to take his chihuahua in to get 10 teeth pulled yesterday. Poor sick puppies!

Sorry, it was Annabelle.. the older poor poodle mutt.
We did a urine sample that checked out well. So we did an x-ray to be sure it was just a stomach bug causing her system to be off balance. There was a small object (possibly a bone chip from somewhere? they don't get bones) in her stomach but it looked small enough to pass with no problems.
She got a shot, some pills to help settle her stomach, and really bland food to eat for a few days.
If there isn't improvement in a day or two we will do some blood work.
It was also an option to just "wait and see" which would have been free.. but I'm not cool with that. I'd worry.
Poor baby! Maybe she ate something off the ground. I bet she's feeling better in no time!
You probably already know this, but keep a close eye on her poop to make sure there is no blood.
I felt horrible when the vet asked this today and I had to admit that I didn't know for sure. She was going hourly all night in the grass.. I just couldn't tell.

It's okay, it can be difficult to see. I admit to agonizing over poop before. "Is that blood? Or did he eat something weird? Hubby.... come and look at this poooooooooo."

She is already acting a bit more like herself today and never seemed to be in any pain or anything. She definitely gave me a WTF face over the bland canned dog food they wanted me to feed her for a few days.

What did the vet say about rice with a little chicken broth?
