killing him might be a little harsh, but I'm all for seriously injuring anyone who starts with the Christmas songs before Thanksgiving is over.
I searched high and low this morning for my old Madonna greatest hits cd, and it has disappeared... I don't know why I have the sudden urge to listen to it but I do.
I am trying to move on from my last foster dog, but everywhere I turn there he is! He just popped up on my FB feed from the rescue group reporting that he is adopted. I miss him so much, I am still sad and crying over him. Fostering is such a clusterf*ck of emotions.
As I was getting dressed this morning, DS said "mommy has pretty skirt". And then as we were walking out the door, I grabbed my purse and he said "nice green bag mommy."
I think he's trying to butter me up. He's been saying "Aaron's orange tanker truck at Target" since Saturday (when he saw an orange tanker truck at Target but decided to buy a garbage truck instead).
Someone was fired from work yesterday. They were in facilities, so they had full access. They threatened to come back and kill a few people. There is armed security at the entrances now. They're not lame rent-a-cops either. They're wearing tactical pants and vests. It's a little tense in here.
On a lighter note, the one guard is the same size as The Big Show, no exaggeration. He has to duck to walk through the door. He's enormous.
ETA: I walked past Big Show again. He has two loaded AR-15s; one on his back, one in his arms. I think I might work from home tomorrow. This is nuts.
DL - I don't think that goes away with some of them. I still have moments of I MISS OSCAR! You're on your third now already, right?
I really need to shell out for or make a pad for A's high chair. I didn't want to pay the $40 originally so I just wrapped an old towel over it. It looks pretty ghetto.

@chirp - that is crazy! Did you know the person that got fired? Have they always been crazy cakes? Do you think their threats are credible? I have so many questions.. That is some pretty serious sounding security.
doglove - I think your feelings are pretty normal. It is always hard to be away from a pet that you love and care for. Think that sweet golden face is lucky to have you and he is lucky to have his new loving family.
I am once again stuffing my face full of Indian and Nepali food at a restaurant by my school. I have a feeling I will spend many Wednesday afternoons here because it is a 5 minute walk.

Yeah, I know/knew the guy. I've worked here for 12 years and it was a small company back then, so all of us who have been here for 8+ years know each other.
He was definitely an asshole. He liked to pick on newbies to see what they could handle. I called him on it and told him he was an asshole when he tried it with me. I never had a problem with him after that.
His threats are credible. He's crazy cakes enough to try. He'd fail, because he's a bit Magoo, but he'd at least get to the parking lot.
And yes, big time security. There are a few employees carrying as well. They're guys who have police training, so they know what they're doing. They're concealed and no one knows except the security guys, HR and their managers (and me since one is H's best friend and another is one of H's random friends).

Oh, and this part... I made chicken satay on Sunday. DS wolfed it down and asked for more.

My little brother is obsessed with "chicken on a stick" it is one of his favorite foods.

Yes, we're on our third now. I feel a little guilty because I just do not feel the same about this one even though he is very sweet and I'm still giving him lots of love and affection. I still feel heartbroken over the last one.
